Position Overview
​The Youth Initiative Coordinator will assist with developing and growing the GWYI program by collaborating with local K-12 schools within their region. Interns will be responsible for providing youth with the guidance to carry out educational fundraising campaigns within their community to help fund the construction of a Gravity Water system at a selected "sister school" in Vietnam.
​
This position is part of the Youth Initiative Program and will report directly to the Program Director. Interns will gain valuable experience in team management, outreach, social media marketing, fundraising, and non-profit data reporting.

Youth Initiative Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities

School Campaign Team Management (~2.5 hours per week)

Engaging with local K-12 schools to secure campaigns for the GWYI program
-
Guiding K-12 school teams in planning and implementing educational fundraising campaigns focused on raising awareness about the Global Water Crisis and Gravity Water’s approach to building clean water systems for schools in developing countries

Hosting one or more meetings with your team to ensure campaigns are on track for success

Participating in impact presentations to highlight the results of your successful campaign efforts

General Admin Tasks and Participation (~2.5 hours per week)

Fulfilling management protocols, including weekly assessment worksheets, strategic project planning, and reporting GWYI campaign metrics

Attending 1+ weekly check-in meetings with your manager to ensure campaigns are on track for success

Supporting organizational outreach and awareness efforts through data collection, email/phone calls, attending events, and other tasks, which may include participation in key partnership meetings

Creating social media content to promote the GWYI program across multiple platforms

Estimated Time Commitment: 5 hours per week

Youth Initiative Coordinator Requirements
Required Qualifications:

Passion for facilitating clean water access for global communities
-
Enrollment in a higher education University or College Degree program
-
Some experience and interest in project management, non-profits, and strategic planning
-
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications:

Familiar with G-Suite (Documents, Spreadsheets, Slide Presentations)

Experience and interest in K-12 education and mentorship
-
Leadership experience with ASB, Interact Club, or related programs

Experience in charitable fundraising endeavors
